Transparent droplets of glass fall
And splat onto the black pavement.
The droplets expand when they hit the ground
And fall back onto it.
The sweet fragrance of damp earth fills the air.
I stick out my tongue
And the rain lands so softly
With the taste of fresh water,
Which explodes in my mouth.
It lands all over my skin.
It is cold but comforting;
Wet yet relaxing.
